PLN 7-2 (14)
I recently read a post by Mr. Craig titled Allowing Re-Takes To Improve Student Learning that talks about how if a student gets below an 80% on a critical thinking responses on a test in biology, then retakes are available to them to score as a high as an 80%. I believe that this is a good idea because he only allows people to retake the test if they attend a study session where they are not allowed to leave until they fully understand the concept. I am currently taking biology and to be able to do well on the critical thinking response, you need to fully understand the material. I am lucky that my parents are scientists and are able to help me, but not many kids have that so many go into the test not fully understanding the material. The purpose of going to school is learning and some students have a difficult time understanding concepts so they need some extra help. We don't go to school to get good grades, we go to school to learn. If you understand everything, your grade will reflect that, but if you don't understand everything, your grade will also reflect that and it is necessary to be able to understand the material because later on in life, it will be good to know. Knowledge is power!

You did really well on your presentation. I could hear you and you used barely any filler words. Try not to sway as much and try to keep your hands away from your face, that was the only thing that gave away your nervouseness, so good job!
Anna, I thought you did a great job on your presentation. You had good eye contact and you kept us interested in your subjects. Sometimes you got a little bit tongue tied so maybe just try to stay composed. Great Job!

Anna, good job youre voice is still very shaky and you seemed a little stress through out the presentation try to relax use techniques like imagine no ones there or have a smooth song in your head. besides that good job

Anna, you did a really good job. You spoke clear and made really good eye contact. Your entries had a lot of information and were very interesting. Try not to move around so much! But other than that you did great!

You did a really good job! I agree with the many points you made in your PLN's. The story on Neeko is so sad to, but I am glad he is better. I agree that it is sad to have to see pet owners let their pets starve to death. Why have a pet when you won't take care of it?
I agree that we should be able to do retakes, but then again we should be more prepared just like in the real world. I guess you could go back and forth on this subject.
You stumbled a little bit at the begining. You also seemed a little bit nervous to and said "umm" alot but you did a very good job by relateing your posts to yourself and using quotes. also good job with eye contact
Anna! Great job. I agree with you that people should wear their seatbelts. But I think that's crazy that car accidents are top reason why teenagers die. That's so sad about the dog that was starving. I agree with you that its terrible that people just abandon their dogs. I think that the police should just stop people randomly and do a seatbelt check to see if people are being safe. Good job!
